Massie - Are They The Best Rock Artist (Group) in the DMV?

Massie is an alternative rock band based out of Washington D.C. With their melodic harmonies and catchy lyrics, they will have you singing along to their latest releases at their show without ever listening to them before. Once you hear them live, you'll want to stream their music on the car ride home and add them to your favorite playlist. No doubt.

The three-piece power pop sound has inspirations from the late 90s and early 2000s, with a unique sound that makes them stand out as an energetic and talented band. Lead singer and guitarist Emily Yaremchuk sings alongside her best friend, Samantha Collings, who doesn't miss a beat on the drums while doing so. Truly inspiring! Will Salzmann adds groovy energy on stage while playing the bass and truly completing the rock trio.

Massie was nominated for the Wammie Music Awards and made finalists for not one, but two categories - Best Rock Album for their recent release "Grady Says Serotonin" and Best Rock Artist-Group. After watching them live for the first time at their EP Release Party at The Blackcat in Washington D.C., I truly believe they have the talent, energy, and uniqueness to make music for generations to enjoy. You can purchase tickets to the Wammie Music Awards with tickets starting at $72 for General Admission seating via Ticketmaster. The evening is advertised to be brimming with live performances and enthusiastic support for the exceptionally talented musicians from the DMV region. (No, this is not an ad, but let us know if you plan to attend the ceremony!)

P.S. I admire Massie's distinctive style; the decision to incorporate a veil on stage is truly bold and underscores the band's unwavering dedication to their musical craft.
